I had always loudly proclaimed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiscoverytravel.com\/en\/2024\/08\/29\/nessebar-un-tresor-unesco-au-coeur-de-la-bulgarie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nessebar<\/a> was my favorite on the coast, but the truth was, my memories of Sozopol were quite vague. It was time to give it a second chance. And I must say, I was not disappointed! Sozopol completely won me over and impressed me. Its seaside location makes it an ideal vacation spot during the summer months, with a warm, sunny climate.<\/p><p>From Burgas, you can take a taxi, bus, or rent a car to reach Sozopol in around 40 minutes. If you're coming from Sofia, you can either fly to Burgas or take a bus or car, which takes about 6 hours. For environmental reasons, I recommend avoiding a Sofia-Burgas flight. Let's be honest, you\u2019ll save time, but does it really justify the ecological impact? Opt for a direct bus from Sofia to Sozopol.
